1/14/2024 0 Comments Trinity pines conference center![]() ![]() Venture Camp: Veterans - Venture Camp: Veterans is currently in the process of being revamped.Venture Camp: Backpacking is a 9-day program led by trip leaders from Outdoor Adventures who will guide incoming Aggies through the beautiful Gila Wilderness in New Mexico. Venture Camp: Backpacking is open to all incoming students and is the newest extended orientation program to be offered out of the Departments of Student Activities and Recreational Sports.Base Camp is sure to provide you with many fun and exciting activities including camping, hiking, canoeing, rock climbing, team building activities, and so much more. Venture Camp: Base Camp is open to all incoming students and is the premiere outdoor extended orientation experience that takes place both on the Texas A&M main campus and in the Texas Hill Country.Venture Camps offers opportunities to jump start your college career at Texas A&M by sharing in exciting adventures with fellow new Aggies. Note: In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Venture: Base Camp and Venture: Backpack programs will not be held as originally scheduled for July and August 2020. These courses are specifically designed to help new first year students make a successful transition to campus, both academically and personally.īecause it is a zero-credit course, there are no additional tuition or fees assessed it is free for new students! First year students will learn about Hullabaloo U during their NSC and select their desired opportunity during course registration. Hullabaloo U is Texas A&M’s first year experience course. Howdy Week events provide students with an opportunity to learn more about campus, each other, and college life in general through a series of educational and social events sponsored by University departments, colleges, registered student organizations, residence halls, and community members. Howdy Week is Aggieland's official week of welcome and takes place on campus during the week before classes begin.
